The Collaborative Behavior and Information in Medicine and Healthcare (BIM) Lab at UMBC is in the Department of Information Systems and is part of the Interactive Systems Research Center (ISRC). It is dedicated to understanding and designing for communication and collaboration in healthcare through the design and study of digital health systems. Some recent areas of research include imaging and interaction in surgery, Parkinson’s Disease movement assessment, and cybersecurity for those with dementia.
